Thanksgiving Weekend

Another fun filled weekend in the city!
Friday night Angela, her friend Wendy and I hit the town for my first theatre production in London - Jersey Boys! It was a blast!! It is the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. If you are like me you're probably saying to yourself - "WHO???"  Haha Well turns out you will, also like me, probably be able to sing along to the majority of their songs, like: Earth Angel, Sherry, Walk Like a Man, My Boyfriend's Back (yeah that's right!), Can't Take My Eyes Off of You.. the list goes on.  Great show! We were up above the nose bleeds, more like in the burst eardrum section... but we could see everything and it was a blast singing along badly to the production!

Rose and chickens ready to go :)
Saturday we got ready for our Thanksgiving extravaganza!!! The Brits don't celebrate Thanksgiving, which was just not going to work for us, so we organized a small-ish gathering.  This meant that I was (somehow) nominated to get the bird - which ended up being 2 whole chickens since turkeys are nowhere to be found in London - and we started to roast  :)  If I do say so myself, the birds turned out quite well for my maiden voyage in the roasting world. We did a pot-luck style dinner, which worked out great! We ended up having 12 Canadians and 1 Aussie to our event and it was a great time.

Needless to say... we all spent today recovering from Thanksgiving and the house was rather quiet.
Another successful weekend!

  1. Hey Michelle,

Sorry I haven't been visiting your blog or posting comments. I'm up to my eyeballs in this whole teaching an intermediate class thing! How on earth did you find the time to mark everything?! I like the kids but man it is a LOT of work. I really didn't give you intermediate teachers enough credit before. Sam
